An Evening with Sahar Vardi

Monday, February 23, 2026 | Port 393 | Holland, MI

We are honored to host Sahar Vardi, an Israeli anti-militarist and anti-occupation activist from Jerusalem, for an evening presentation and Q&A in Holland.

This event will create space for learning, thoughtful questions, and meaningful conversation about resisting militarism and building global solidarity. Together, we will explore how militarism shapes communities both locally and globally—and consider what courageous, nonviolent resistance can look like in our time.

About Sahar Vardi

Sahar Vardi is a researcher and campaigner focused on militarism in Israel and globally, including the export of Israeli military and security systems worldwide. She previously worked with the American Friends Service Committee and was a founder of the Database on Israeli Military and Security Export.

In recent years, her work has examined the intersection of climate and militarism, as well as issues of activist safety and security. Sahar is also a former conscientious objector to the Israeli military and served time in prison for her refusal to serve.

We hope you will join us for this important and timely conversation. All are welcome.
